Chapter 11: Power Surge

Chapter 11: Power Surge

The lab was tense, the glow of monitors casting pale light across the teens’ faces. Arman adjusted his custom rig, wires snaking across the desk like veins.

“We’re going in,” he said firmly. “Black Circuit’s servers are hidden behind layers of proxies, but I’ve mapped a route. If we breach their firewall, we’ll see what they’re planning next.”

Zara leaned forward, her eyes sharp. “We’ll need simultaneous attacks. I’ll handle pattern recognition on the cipher streams. You brute-force the gateway.”

Riya sat beside them, her notebook open, jotting down fragments of decoded text. “I’ll track anomalies. If something shifts, I’ll catch it.”

Kian, quieter than usual, hovered near the window. His voice was low. “And if they notice us?”

Arman didn’t look up. “Then we’ll deal with it.”

The keyboards clattered, the room filled with the rhythm of code. Lines of encrypted data scrolled across the screens—dense, layered, resistant. Slowly, fragments began to crack open.

“Got something,” Zara muttered. “Relay nodes. They’re setting up redundancies across the grid. If one fails, another takes over.”

Arman’s pulse quickened. “That means they’re close to execution. If we can disrupt the relay, we can stop them.”

Riya leaned in. “But look—there’s a secondary protocol. Something about ‘identity markers.’ What does that mean?”

Before Arman could answer, the screens flickered. A new stream of code surged across the monitors, faster than anything they had seen.

Zara’s eyes widened. “That’s not us. That’s them.”

The system locked. Password prompts appeared, one after another, sealing off their access. Then, a chilling line of text scrolled across the screen:

“You shouldn’t have come here. Now we know who you are.”

Arman’s stomach dropped. Their real names, school IDs, and IP addresses flashed across the monitor, exposed like open wounds.

Riya gasped. “They’ve unmasked us.”

The lab fell silent, the weight of realization pressing down. They hadn’t just failed to breach Black Circuit—they had triggered a counter-hack.

And now, Black Circuit knew exactly who they were.

Cliffhanger Ending: The teens’ identities are exposed, escalating the danger from digital warfare to real-world vulnerability.
